Coconut Water

Coconut water! For all you coconuts out there.

For more than 4,000 years, coconut water has been revered as a natural source of nutrition, wellness, beauty and hydration. In times of famine and war, coconut water has been used as an intravenous fluid and saved many lives. It’s the only natural substance that can be safely injected into the human blood stream. Now modern science has validated its effectiveness, especially as a natural sports drink.

  1. Well, this was interesting information ! Unfortunately the cocnuts that are on sale in Belgium are dried out, with a bit of luck there is still a bit of cocnut water left but that’s only a few sips. When we were in Costa Rica we had some fresh coconuts, the flesh was moist and soft and the water was soooo delicius and they were so cheap !!! There were coconut tree’s everywhere and they were full with nuts so I remember I thought, well people here won’t be hungry, they always have coconuts to eat and other fruit as well as all those tree’s just grew along the road.

  2. They do sell coconut water. It is a big trend. I have a friend in Costa Rica.
Did you know coconut trees can live 110 years. That is a lot of coconuts.

  4. I haven’t tried coconut water yet. But Zico and Vita Coco are everywhere! I think I may have to just do it.

  5. There is one health food store where I live, so I haven’t had any in awhile.

I am not fond of coconuts but have no problem with people who are. An apple a day for the kid. Or a multivitamin, whichever is easiest to snag. But I still insist that decent people do not like okra in any form!

  7. Well I LOVE okra in all forms but most people don’t. πŸ˜‰
