Blue Butterflies & Me is 7 years old today. Being as blogging started as a fluke, it has remained a consistent part of my life. it is also my first blog buddy’s birthday, Ody Mama, sadly she is too busy to blog, but I have her on the phone. Happy Birthday girl!

I will just give a quick check in and hello. I was unplugged again because I used up all my data, so internet time is limited to the library, or the church, until Saturday. I finished my last semester of classes at ASU well, 3.81 GPA. I took and passed one of my state school board certifications yesterday. I begin student teaching in the second week of January, at a really nice school, with a super nice teacher. Just four months to graduation.
Thanks to my friend Romeo Baron on Facebook for this image. I feel very connected to it. After meeting those Lion beings from Sirius B, I really like that connection. My sister took me to a yoga sound meditation on the new moon last Sunday which was amazing. I am working the next couple of days and then it is Christmas. Boy time sure flies. On November 1, Día de Muertos, I spent the day with the Brothers Grimm. I have discovered there is a profession that I did not realize existed, because if I had realized this career path was available I might be Dr. Simms, Fairy Tale scholar. Lol When I read those words in the text we are using for my Children’s literature class I thought, “Fairy Tale scholar?” Yes please. However, well I am no Spring chicken. Nonetheless, Fairy tale scholar is a cool title and profession in my book. As I was reviewing the collection of fairy tales to write my literary theory critique I observed that feminist must certainly have a field day in that genre, the maidens, and princesses, are dense at best. The other is the stepmother/temptress archetypes which are horrible. There were a number of passive fathers who did whatever the temptress, usually the stepmother, wished to do. There were very few honorable archetypes represented in the collection which consisted of; Cinderella, Snow White, Rapunzel, Rumplestiltskin, The Frog King, and, Hansel and Gretel.
So, why the title you ask? This occurred what is now yesterday, I worked on my essay for most the day, then as I was getting ready for bed, about 11 P. M. I see a strange shape crawling into my room. I do not recognize it as our abundant cricket population, as I look closer I see it’s curved tail. It was the first live scorpion that I have ever encountered in my life. As it was crawling into my bedroom I panicked and grabbed the closest thing to me, The Complete Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm, and smashed it! Freaky, on 11/1 at around 11, I see and kill a scorpion, while we are in Scorpio astrologically, with The Brothers Grimm, and only two days after my birthday, I kept the scorpion, which I really hated to kill, in a jar.
Well now, I got a jump on it. Reorganizing, and redecorating, my library, so exciting to get all the books in order. I am building my classroom library for next year when I start teaching. School starts next week and I have not be Susie Homemaker this summer, I have been Sindy Reads A Lot. So I am getting things clean and orderly before BAM, so much schoolwork. lol

Yum, Yum, Yum, the mantra for Day 22 of Chopra Oprah 21 Day meditation series, Desire and Destiny. I was registered but I did not avail myself the opportunity until today. What is with me? Anyway it was a phenomenally beautiful guided meditation connecting the light from the heart center with others around the globe. It was so powerful and positive on this very relevant time astrologically as I glean from the astrologers. I did not know that Yum is a heart chakra mantra. How fascinating that we use it as a word to express our Pavlovian responses to tactile taste.
The centering thought was “Love and Abundance for All”. I am sorry I missed the series but 4 are still available today.

Greetings friends & Earthlings. Interesting full moon we are having. A FB friend, Emmanuel Daugher, a spiritual teacher and author, makes lovely FB memes. In a recent one it said, “Let’s Drench Our Planet with Love” and I thought what a good concept to make viral. I dedicate this full moon to drenching the Earth with Love ❤

Hmm interesting times. I am hoping that all is well with you all. The day after I was hit by the SUV while walking a friends dog, I found a book called The Wicked Day by Mary Stewart, which is the telling of the story of Mordred of the Arthurian legend and tradition. I spent days reading when I should have been studying. It is the 4th book following The Merl in Trilogy. The day before the accident I got an iChing reading that said Thunder Bolt, well we certainly know what that was. So anyways the bruise on my thigh was a huge purple black circle the size of a soccer ball, on the third or forth day I notice a thunder bolt in the center of the bruise all white right into the circle, and low and behold it was surrounded by a obvious large purple dragon. It looked like a large tattoo. Pendragon and the tale of Mordred, very fitting. Oh and I am healing nicely.
A very relevant quote from The Wicked Day, as Mordred goes to Nimue, who is Merlin’s successor, to see if there is any avoidance of his destiny.
“Live what life brings; die what death comes”
I love the quote and found it very apropos to my life as we said goodbye to a wonderful man, husband, father, and friend to many, who lived a full and happy life.
One other really good thing. I have been getting great cards in my reading for awhile now, for the last 6 months I consistently get the 6 of Wands, and the victory parade, Oxford miracle needs to happen soon before March 1 cutoff. lol Oh I did win a thousand dollar travel grant, just need another 9k. 😉

Well . . . Wow! Happy Solstice everybody, I see many of you enjoyed the poem by my friend HollyRose. Thank you for your support. I do not know if you are all aware of this Cosmic Wave that is literally, and figuratively washing over the planet? I for one was gobsmacked. Even if it is hyperbole it is a powerful visual to work with. I am just going to include a bunch of links for you to view or read as you so desire.
