Signs of Spring

As I live in Arizona the joy of Spring is tempered by the onset of Summer. However the pre-Spring season is so beautiful here and I am sure in many places. The butterflies, the birds, the bees, soft sun and gentle breeze. Also I have a break from school -yippee!

I finished the quarter with a poetry project, trying to get teenagers to write poetry was literally like pulling teeth. However, I got a handful of good ones. I won’t be sharing any of them here but I will express my reaction to them. After the molar extraction three of my boys wrote love poems, needless to say I was impressed. A couple of decent love poems from the girls. They also wrote odes, some humorous and some sweet. This project ended just prior to the Parent Teacher Conference, where a couple of brothers were redeemed by the sweet poems they had written about their mother, she cried when the translator read them to her. My student looked at me like, thank you. Always good to write a poem about how much you love your mother before Parent Teacher Conference.

Six of my students will get to attend the literacy event at ASU as a result of their efforts and over Spring Break and I am creating a fabulous Spring Poetry Bulletin board display in the hall outside my classroom.

I also have to clean the garage, fun! (not fun) Enjoying the weather. Happy almost Spring everyone. Only three days left of Mercury Retrograde.

Happy Year of the Rat, I know a few 1960’s Rats and they are amazing.

The Rat is the first of all zodiac animals. According to one myth, the Jade Emperor said the order would be decided by the order in which they arrived to his party. The Rat tricked the Ox into giving him a ride. Then, just as they arrived at the finish line, Rat jumped down and landed ahead of Ox, becoming first.

Source

The Rat is also associated with the Earthly Branch (地支—dì zhī) Zi (子) and the midnight hours. In the terms of yin and yang (阴阳—yīn yáng), the Rat is yang and represents the beginning of a new day.

In Chinese culture, rats were seen as a sign of wealth and surplus. Because of their reproduction rate, married couples also prayed to them for children.

Recent years of the Rat are: 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020.

Quirky me doesn’t like to relinquish Christmas easily, so Saturday I decided to take down my Christmas tree. The outside of the house had been deSantafied, so that the neighbors weren’t aware of my quirkiness. I attacked it and got it done, but being aware of the need to be festive, for me and my sister, I decided to decorate for Valentines and Chinese New Year! I was cleaning, arranging, and redecorating.  I went to a local Asian owned dollar store for more decorations. I bought some Lucky Money bamboo, 2 beta fish, and assorted Valentines paraphernalia, I spent an hour shopping for a Lucky Cat statue with a waving arm. I worked feverishly on getting it just right, and all of this not knowing it was the Chinese New Year. I thought the Chinese New Year was always in February? Well, apparently not.

Boxes

Little Boxes

The correlation with the title and the image is obscure, so I will explain. I recalled a Katherine Ace painting with boxes, so I went to look at her art. Just yesterday I had gotten hot and threw my hair up, my student laughed and said I looked like a character from Whoville. Basically I had Whoville hair. I laughed too, of course I redid my knot. So I saw this painting and  love it, Girl with No Hands, by Katherine Ace.

But now to boxes. I have this “thing” for boxes. I love them. I am all like “Wow this is a great box, I’m going to keep it”. Big boxes, small boxes, brown, white, or decorative boxes, any box that is a good box. It is strange. I often ponder which lifetime I created this love of boxes? It works out well when friends are moving, and I always have a box when I need one.

Beneath the Sea

That public library is constantly feeding my book addiction. How can I pass up great hardcover books for 50 cents? I picked up a book from 2002 by Graham Hancock, Underworld: The Mysterious Origins of Civilization. I was reading the Greek Myths again from another source. I will get back to those soon as there are shorter stopping points. This Hancock book, although not really an easy read, has sucked me in. One thing I learned that I did not know was that archeologist, linguist, historians, and all academic scholars had ascribed the Rig Veda and Sanskrit to some “supposed” Aryan Indo-European invaders. That is just so typical of the Old Dead White Man club. It was finally refuted and accepted as not the case by scholars by the year 2000. But really?

The Hancock book is about antediluvian cities holding humanities lost history. It is also very informative on understanding the history of the sacred Hindu text. The mythical city of Dwarka is supposedly under the sea now due to the big deluge. The city was founded by Krishna to protect his people from constant war. It could only be reached by sea, however it is said that it was attacked by vimana. There are a few links below on Dwarka Lord Krishna’s Golden City.

So it is very amusing when I read my daily horoscope this morning and read this.

A visit to the dark realms of the Underworld doesn’t frighten you as much as it does others because you always have alchemical Pluto working in your corner. One of your attractions to emotional intensity is the fact that it draws you into the hidden mysteries and away from the obvious. However, your current quest could bring a surprise that throws you off track and into a discouraging place. Nevertheless, your regenerative powers are strong and there’s little to fear now.

Reading about the Yugas, which is something that had just slipped my consciousness for some time now, I decided to check when we would reach the end of the Kali Yuga. The Kali Yuga which is sort of nasty and tumultuous. Hancock’s website said 2025, I like that yet another said 2082, I think I will be gone by then.

The history and richness of our past intrigues me and lures me in. I have not had dream recall in a long while, but the first night after reading I dreamed I was excavating at a pyramid. I could feel the sand and heat. I have been swept so far into the past and now I must come back. there are things to do and people to see. Reading this book has triggered in me memories of other places and times, and I believe that this is so in the collective, or genetic memory of all humanity.

I have a really big week ahead of me, so I am going to have to put down the very thick Hancock book, which is already 16 years old by now anyways.  It is fascinating and educational, I recommend it, if you have time. Wish me luck big interview early Monday morning, and subsequent ASU STEM camp this week.

Edited to add: I go from posting this to finish watching a video of Meru Matu and at 26:30 as soon as I started watching, she says vimana.

Timeline Jumping

Dreams Allowed

It has been a bit since I have had a chance to post. The schedule of a teacher takes some getting used to. This post is a bit about everything. There is so much going on both in my life and on the planetary and universal stage. Expansion is occurring exponentially and I can see it in my day to day life, and through having a peripheral awareness of current events both secular and spiritual.

I am in Spring Break but it is only a break in my sleep schedule and that is all. I am currently studying for my state professionalism certification exam, which I could pass without studying but why chance it $80 and three hours of my time? I did take the weekend off from any school or teaching related activity, almost forgetting my weekly Reflection assignment to my ASU supervisor due every Friday night. On Saturday I just enjoyed the amazing mild weather we have in Arizona in Fall/Winter and Spring, sometimes. I messed around in the garden, fed the birds, had long talks with friends on the phone, and just chilled. My good friend, the talented Queen shared a video with me on Quantum Astrology that well coalesced all my theories and then some. This girl literally blew me away. I felt yet another layer of enlightenment and knowing. As Amanda’s says, Meru Matu is authentic and fresh. I will leave her links below.

After watching the video I spent several hours processing. All these various segments of information, mystical experiences, years of reading esoteric text, channeled information, and so on, began gelling into a new understanding of existence. In the last couple of months I have been so busy learning in practice which prior had been mostly theoretical regarding teaching, and now I am seeing theory into practice in quantum existence. It’s deep, and fun!

So today I began reading all those Education and Pedagogy text books I never read when in school, to study. Fun! Although extremely pleasant in the paradise that is my garden patio. The bird feeders are full and the kitty is fed and content and I am studying and talking to the parrots. The parrots cannot be seen but heard, so I talk to them and they answer. Then who I believe is the parrot I have named Brave Tweet, as he/she will come alone to eat, lands on the BBQ about a foot from where the cat is sitting in the chair at the table. I am sitting on the other side of the table and I am talking to the Tweet and watching the cat who is watching the bird. The parrot is super interested in me and I happen to have my phone, which usually scares them away, so I start filming. I move closer in hopes he/she flies away because the cat is so close. He/she will not. I stand and cross to where the cat is sitting and pick her up (which in itself is surprising that she let me) the bird doesn’t move, and I am still filming. It was so cool and I have proof. OMG my heart was on edge but it was amazing. If you are my friend on FB you can see the videos.

On Sunday, and after hearing Meru Matu’s talk I went to look at something on my natal chart and I miraculously could understand aspects of reading a chart that had baffled me on all prior investigations. Just the basics really but still it was different, like an epiphany or miraculous knowing. Sounds crazy but it was if if I went to do algebra and could do it. lol Reading my on natal chart was cool, and I must say accurate. It did give me a better understanding of things. I look forward to getting a Starseed lineage reading from Meru sometimes in the future.

I almost forgot the title . . . in a meditative state on Saturday I heard, “Manifestation is just removing blocks to allow for your destiny.” I got it. It takes no effort to manifest what we already possess. The challenge is to remove spiritual psychological, and ego created blocks like fears, and beliefs of inadequacy, and so on. I am the creator of my matrix that is being played by my higher self. I am the player, and the avatar in the game coming into an alchemical awareness. That is my understanding now, the same as before but confirmed.

So planning underway for graduation and getting a job. Love you all. Enjoy the expansion.

Hip hip hooray, sister saves the day. Twenty days without a phone, it was weird. We are all so used to the security that we feel connected by the device. I think I took it in stride. Fortunately for me my sister had just moved up a generation on her phone from our ancient iPhone 4’s to a 5, so she gave me her old phone, thank the stars, just in time. I have a research paper to write among other things, and not being able to work at home is tough. Student teaching is all set, so yeah.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends, and those across the pond and beyond, I will be giving thanks for your friendships as well. ❤

Moon Mythology

Forever the book pilgrim today I discovered a little treasure for 99 cents, Curious Myths of the Middle Ages, written by, Rev. Sabine Baring-Gould 1834-1924 Edited by, Edward Hardy (1987). Below is an excerpt from The Man in the Moon myth. The book illustrations are all Albrecht Duer.

~~~
In Scandinavian mythology Mani, the moon stole two children from their parents, and carried them up to heaven. Their names were Hjuki and Bil. They had been drawing water from the well byrgir, in the bucket Soegr, suspended from the pole Simul, which they bore on their shoulders. These children, pole and bucket, were placed in heaven ‘where they could be seen from earth’. This refers undoubtedly to the spots on the moon, and so the Swedish peasantry explain these spots to this very day (1866) as representing a boy and a girl bearing a pail of water between them. We are once reminded of our nursery rhyme:
Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water;
Jack fell down and broke his crown,
And Jill came tumbling after.
This verse, which to us at first sight seems nonsense, I have no hesitation in saying has a high antiquity, and refers to the Eddaic Hjuki and Bil. The names indicate as much. Hjuki, in Norse, would be pronounced Juki, which would readily become Jack; and Bil for the sake of euphony, and in order to give a female name to one of the children, would become Jill. The fall of Jack and the subsequent fall of Jill simply represent the vanishing of one moon-spot after another as the moon wanes.
But the old Norse myth had a deeper significance than merely an explanation of the moon-spots. Hjuki is derived from the verb jakka, to leap or pile together, to assemble and increase; and Bil from bila, to break up or dissolve. Hjuki and Bil therefore signify nothing more than the waxing and waning of the moon, and the water they are represented as bearing signifies the fact that the rainfall depends on the phases of the moon. Waxing and waning were individualized, and the meteorological fact of the connexion  of the rain with the moon was represented by children as water-bearers.
Symphonies of the Planets
          It has only been a couple of years Earth time since the human beings had discovered that other planets in the universe and beyond also had sentient life forms. It was the completion of the planet Earth’s first deep space station and the human’s government had to disclose their existence, or the humans would discover it for themselves.  My father has been named Lyran Ambassador to Earth, and my cousin Siriana is coming too. We had been told that we are the equivalent of sixteen Earth years, and will be Junior Lyran Ambassadors. As a result we will be attending the first conference of Intergalactic Youth in this place called Washington D.C. Traveling in the vast reaches of the galaxy has always been in my blood, which is blue by the way, like my skin. I was born aboard a deep space vessel, the quiet and darkness in space is always like home to me. I started my school as a small on Lyra and the sky used to frighten me and I would run underneath a plant shelter, I think they are called trees on Earth?
Finally our departure was underway, “Mylin come look at these pictures of Earth people our age” Siriana points to the monitor on the desk. I see a human, I think it is a male of the species he has tall spikes adorning his head, and face jewelry and art. Another image is of a girl she has yellow skin and her hair (I think or fur) is dark and symmetrical like a head shield, “Sue Kim, it says she is a girl from Korea.” Siriana turns and looks at me in a very curious fashion, “What will they think of us cousin?” I looked at my reflection in the glass, pale blue skin and silver hair. “We look just like most girls our age on Lyra. What’s there to worry about? Siriana stood and looked in the glass, the same light blue skin, and silver hair; hers is just longer than mine. The door beeped and opened. “Well girls, I brought you some hot zorb from home. Drink it and get some sleep. We will be there when you awake.” We both drank the hot zorb down and were soon fast asleep in the nooks of our quarter.
I awoke to see the blue orb approaching. It was all the rage with our youth, we all had to have the blue orb pendants around our necks. I touched mine looking down at it and then back it coming closer in the glass. “Wake up Siriana! You have to see this. It is as lovely as I imagined. It looks just like my blue orb.” Siriana rubbed the snark from her eyes and came to join me, “Ooooo. I have never seen anything more beautiful. We had better get dressed.” We both put on our best clothing as we were told the arrival was a big event that would be displayed on screens all over the Earth. Our garments are of a plant based fiber and we are also a water world so we favor shades of blue, purple, and green. Our garments are draped and layered and float in the atmosphere when we move. We stared at our reflections in the glass, “We don’t look like them.” Siriana said nervously and chewed on her lip. “We have heads, and necks, and arms and legs like them!” I argued. “We do. We do” she says trying to convince herself that there was enough of a similarity.
A ship wide message was made by my father, “We have arrived. When we land there will be a greeting by the Earth leaders, and we will all follow protocol and follow their instructions. This is a big shock to many Earth beings, so make Lyra proud.” The ship materialized to the humans just before sitting down, the ramp was lowered onto the ground and we all descended in pairs. An Earth boy greeted me and Siriana, “Welcome to Earth. My name is Adin and I will be your host. “It is our great honor to be here,” we both answered. Adin smiled and invited us to follow him. “I am Mylin, and this is my cousin Siriana. “ Adin nodded and bowed, I am uncertain of his gesture. “The Earth girls are going to be jealous.” I look at Siriana, and she is smiling, At this time a Earth girl approaches, she is not smiling, she looks at us reproachfully, “Adin, Commander Cruise wants you with the Venusians.” She had not even acknowledged our presence. “Katy Maguire these are Ambassador Ferel, from Lyra’s daughter, and niece” he turns to finish his introduction, “Mylin, and Siriana,” Katy pushed her face into a grimacing smile, “Welcome to earth.” She says without warmth or honesty. Lyrans can communicate without words and so we do not lie. “I will be right there. Then will you please escort them to the dining hall?” Katy became more rigid, “Certainly,” she turns, “This way ladies.” Adin nods or bows again, “I will see you at the dinner. Again welcome.” I watch him walk away and I feel a heat generating inside of me. I began to panic, “Oh no!” I say internally to Siriana, “I think I might flash out.” “ No, no not now, not here in front of this unpleasant female Earth human” she answers in desperation. When my kind is attracted to someone our skin develops large pink spots, and the phenomena occurred regardless of my desire. Katy covers her mouth with her hand and points at me. Siriana’s worst fears are realized; she feels humiliated by the Earth girl and starts to cry. Now when we cry a blue mist excretes from our skin and envelops us in a cloud. Katy drops her hand from her gaping mouth and continues to point but now she is pointing at Siriana. I see an older elegant Earth lady approaching; she has bright pink hair in a bun on her head and blue windows in front of her eyes. She heads directly toward us stopping in front of Commander Maguire, “I need to speak with you privately now!” She turns us and extends her hand, “Hello, I am Dr. Julian Benet. I am the head of the Department of Intergalactic Multicultural Inclusion. I notice a tall dark fellow, also with eye windows, and a girl from the screen. Dr. Benet whispered over her shoulder and the pair came forward, “Hi I am Sue Kim,” “And I am Dr. Rushti.” Dr. Benet glances over at the stoic Commander Maguire, she turns back to us, “On behalf of The Earth Council on Extraterrestrial Affairs, I humbly welcome you to our planet. I believe you call it the Blue Orb?” She smiled warmly, “I must speak with Commander Maguire but I will join you soon for dinner. As Dr. Benet and Commander Maguire cross the room which was all glass on one side looking onto a wooded park with some water in the middle, I think about the places we have like this on Lyra. I can see Katy’s face as Dr. Benet is speaking with her and water is rolling down her cheek, I wonder if that is how human girls cry?
“Excuse me Miss,” I look up from thought as Sue Kim speaks, “We are lead ambassadors for the Earth Alliance, and we will be your guides for your stay here on Earth. Welcome, I am so excited to meet you. Do you have any questions?” Well I had a zillion questions but I just smiled. The room is full of round tables with colorful plants in glass and shiny silver implements all in sets of two, the humans and assorted galactic representatives were beginning to sit at the tables that faced a platform. I see two Venusian girls coming our way. They are very tall, with pale green skin, dark hair and eyes. They also have enormous black wings that they keep tucked tightly most of the time. I recognize Zer from a camp I used to visit for youth programs, “Zorn!” she greets me as is their manner. Soft sounds of moving water and some small creatures are chirping from boxes in the ceiling, it had disoriented me, “Mylin? Earth to Mylin. Come in Mylin!” Zer laughs at her own Earth joke. “Oh, I was thrown into another state by the sounds.” Zer looks as I had directed to the ceiling, “That is what they call . . . music here. Ours is just different,” Sue Kim steps closer smiling, “If I may be of assistance? This is what we call ambient music, it is sounds from Earth’s nature; a running stream, the birds in a forest.” Sudden understanding came to us all. “Oh yes” Zer agrees, “We have also these sounds on Venus,” Finally I see Dr. Benet returning with a somber expression which changes to a bright smile. Dr. Rushti invites us all to our table where we sit down; me, Siriana, who has since lost the cloud, Zer, her friend MX, Sue, Kim, and Dr. Benet. The room was starting to fill up with people and beings from all over the galaxy. The room was buzzing with energetic excitement, and now the music was an up-tempo lyrical poem. Once we were all seated people started to pour liquids of many colors and substances, when mine was poured I realized it was degaar juice from my world. Dr. Benet addresses the table “I apologize for Ms. Maguire’s behavior. If she had not missed every one of her Intergalactic Cultures classes, perhaps she would have behaved differently. However, the point of us all getting to know one another is to know all of our aspects, both pleasant, and unpleasant. Then we must grow, learn and unify from it.” She touched the blue windows on her face and adjusted them, “In case any of you interested in our student exchange program, allow me to invite you now. Zer’s left wing lifted just slightly, “Yes, there is so much I want to see here, I am certain my parents will agree.” I was thinking of the Earth boy Adin, and how I would like to get to see more of him, “Yes Dr. Benet, I am interested, and my parents will be working here as well. Thank you.” Zer’s friend MX also said she was on-board. “Great,” Dr. Benet smiles and then looks at Siriana who has yet to sign on, “And you Siriana? We would love to have you.” Siriana looks at me and then to Dr. Benet, “Thank you for considering me for such a high honor. It is just that I cannot bear to be away from my parents and my baby brother.” She looked down and fidgeted with the silver implements on the table. “I can certainly understand.” Dr. Benet says as she touches Siriana lightly on her hand. Food was brought to us from our specific diets and pallets. As part of our introduction we each explained our food dishes to the table and offered them to be sampled. The Venusians eat colorful fruits that grown from sacred trees, and drink a clear liquid like water but different, you cannot drink it, or I! We also eat a plant based diet of greens, roots, and fruits of a kind. The Earth people eat the flesh of certain creatures and they had chicken which I understand is a bird, the Venusians did not look very happy in that regard.  They showed us a moving image of the Earth and all its wonders which left me misty and cloudish, I see Siriana clouding up again too. I guess we all have a lot to learn about each other, and to understand.
That evening as we were singing our songs of love, which all Lyrans do each night, the com on the door buzzed. Our visitor was Commander Maguire, “Please come in.” I say as I clear the chair of clothing for her to sit on. “Thank you for seeing me at this late hour. I know you have traveled far and are tired. Apologizing for my rudeness earlier does not begin to make amends.” “It is okay” Siriana says, “We are all learning to adjust to new things.” Katy attempted to smile as she agreed. “I want to come to Lyra.” The cousins were surprised by her announcement. “You do? We thought you found us repulsive? Siriana spoke softly with her head down. “I know. I am sorry. I was jealous. I saw the way Adin was admiring your beauty and I acted badly. Dr. Benet scolded me well and good. She reminded me that compassion and acceptance are key components of our Intergalactic Culture classes in our program. I was just so focused on the quantum technology that I could not be bothered with cultural exchange. I can be unbalanced at times.” She looked at Siriana who looked up and smiled, “We will be friends and learn from each other Katy Maguire. Plus I am going to miss my cousin.” Siriana looks at me and smiled “I will visit and we will ride the ocean waves together. I promise.” Katy stood to leave but stopped remembering something, “Guess what else?” We looked at each other, “My DNA shows I have Lyran ancestors.” Katy smiled broadly, “Thank you, goodnight.” Then Katy left and Siriana and I just started laughing and misting at the same time. The ‘blue orb’ is a lovely place that I think I will enjoy loving.
Hello Happy Friday. A lovely Spring like day here. A day that was gifted me in my Spring break from school I had committed to work today, but alas it got cancelled so change of plan. Oh and I cannot read the text embedded in the image but bless them for sharing the image. I have been listening to my favorite astrologers this fine morning trying to get an idea of what is up? Sometimes the understanding is beyond me. The image and title allude to the Virgo Full Moon on March 12. I will share a few links below. One is from The Leo King, David Palmer, my son (from another mother) actually we have never met except on FB but I just feel like David is my son. lol He has his new fiancee on the show with him and it made me so happy. lol Crazy huh? I was happy he had chosen well.
Venus Retrograde & Full Moon
Full Moon in Virgo; Time to Enter Warrior Mode
 I was enjoying my magical garden patio, which as I have shared is darn near Xanadu to me. I was drawn to water my trees and plants, I just love the connection that you get with nature while doing such a simple task. I had created a puddle of mud at the foot of the patio, and I was compelled to just put my feet in and squish it around. If you haven’t done this in awhile, do it. Afterward I see my foot imprints left behind, sort of cool. It took my thoughts to the footprint of the guru, perhaps as I was listening to Ravi Shankar at the time. Honestly I have been hoping for a butterfly sighting . . . the day is young.
Also I have my outdoor kitty’s baby daddy to contend with, this Tom cat is huge, I mean at night he will scare you with his howl and scary gold eyes, he must be part Siamese or Persian as he has long hair, which is grey and white spots, and a slightly smushed face. Did I mention his howl would wake the dead and he is huge? I have named him Brutus. Both of his male offspring, Prince Fu, who is now named Carl, as I understand, and his brother Frankie, look like him. Brutus needs to be trapped and fixed, Pray for a good outcome for Brutus and all concerned.
Oxford deadline has come and gone but I still haven’t taken the flyer from my wall and it still has some unknown relevance, My tale bone is still sore but much better. Merlin, wizards, fairies and Tors still paint my minds imaginings. I have a unit yet to plan for my Methods of Teaching Language class, I am thinking “Unit of Thrones” one that would include Arthurian Grail Lore, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, a book of choice either, The Wicked Day, or any of Mary Stewart’s, Merlin Trilogy, Silver Eve (A YA novel female protagonist) or The Mist of Avalon. I would like to include Shakespeare, but a unit is 3 or 4 weeks, even the above is ambitious.
So I best get to scholarship essay writing. My internship is going real well but I am having a tough go of it in my Modern Grammar class so good vibes in that direction, or aka prayers etc… Much love everyone be well. The John Lennon lyrics, “strange days indeed” just popped in my head this morning, and the song lyric does not really fit the mood of the day which is light but nonetheless I share the song it may have a message (Oh of course there is the Shankar Lennon connection).
