Blue Feather

You know the phrase, “A little bird told me.” Well a little cat told me, (odie) that there was some speculation that a poem had been written about blue. Well now I love blue. I love poems. And the titillating suggestion that it regarded blue? Well I had to read it. I am speaking of a poem and post by my dear friend, artist, and poet, Dewin Nefol. Here is his poem.

Blue Feather

Singularly unique.

That’s you.

There’s no other Blue

more superlative than you.

Love’s unfathomable cobalt hue

crafted you blue

in lightening hue

electric you

ripples

down

your

feather

~

No other

with your mesmerising blue

there’s never another

touching infinite blue

soaring forever in

Sky blue hue,

Hummingbird

within

your

feather

 ~

No other

Blue like you.

No other feather

blushes like you…

…tinted Blue Moon hue

is my sweet memory of you

pressed

against

my

feather by Love

In celebration of 111 I want to take this opportunity to thank my delightfully wonderful blogging friends for honoring me with a couple of awards. Firstly thank you to Linda at litebeing chronicles for her Commenters Award, what an honor. Also to Sweet Sue at the Dreamwalker’s Sanctuary for Hearts as One Drum Beat Award. Sue who is a warmhearted supportive friend and my number one commentator, Ms. Linda my number three, and pass these awards to Dewin Nefol, who was my number two commentator last year. You should visit Dewin Nefol and see his amazing art pieces accompanied by prose, poetry and deep thought.

Those are my top three Commentators last year, and two of them awarded me. The one I awarded Dewin Nefol always leaves me such poetic comments. Thank you!

Red Dragonfly

Thursday morning in the garden the first beautiful creature I saw was a red dragonfly. As I had been working diligently on my critical essay on Little Red Cap, by the Brothers Grimm, I felt it most befitting. The symbolic meaning also seems to apply.

My deepest gratitude to my beloved friend Dewin Nefol for all his help.

Dragonfly totem wisdom and change

Dragonflies start to grow in water and then move into the air and fly. When this spirit animal shows up in your life you may be called to transform and evolve. Symbol of metamorphosis and transformation, it inspires those who have it as a totem to bring about the changes needed in their lives in order to go to reach their full potential.

When this spirit animal shows up in your life, it’s an indication that it’s time for change. Just like the dragonfly changes colors as it matures, you may be called to live and experience yourself differently. Stay open to the enfoldment of your personal journey.
