Shock the Monkey

Fun Fact!

One day on Mercury last about 1,408 hours. The same as about one Monday, on Earth.

Seriously! This Mercury Retrograde has been so Mercury Retrograde for me, especially last week. This time last week I am preparing to begin the Spring semester last Monday, so I check my schedule, as you do, and discover a class I need to graduate, ENH 222, (Brit Lit. after 1800) has been dropped due to enrollment. “Eghads,” I say, wondering what I am going to do? Financial Aid can be pretty touchy. My first thought was perhaps I could do an Independent Study, with my favorite professor, and the really nice thing was that he was willing, but it is not allowed. I ask for this. I did, and now it manifest exactly as I requested, “I don’t want to take this teacher,” I say, “I want to take it somewhere else.” I said this aloud, a couple times about a year ago. Now, I had changed my mind, but never put that order in. lol Place your order, get your request. So its a long story but I am taking the class somewhere else. Of course I then have to transfer the credit back to my school. This episode which showed up a week ago as a “Tower” in the tarot, which was followed by the “Star, and the Wheel of Fortune,” so I knew it would be fine. Standing on the cold hard cement in Financial Aid, hearing I cannot do this, and they cannot do this. . . I thought to myself, “Smile, just smile at everybody.” lol I prayed, I was freaking out a little.  I said to my angelic friends, “Okay, okay, if I have to drop out of school until fall, there will be something better. It will all be good. Just keep on smiling. Have one of those Tootsie Pops.” I persevered, I appealed, I had a cherry Tootsie Pop, and I was given an exemption, so I hope. The car wouldn’t start last week, and this, and that…. I say, “Mercury, Mercury, Mercury,” like Jan Brady, “Marsha, Marsh, Marsha.” It was a good lesson, and I am proud of myself. However Mercury does go direct tomorrow, big sigh. It is all good, but brother. My knee is finally healing, and getting better. Thanks for all healing, and prayers.

I just discovered a Word Press blogger, Dipali Desai, go visit her blog on Mercury Retrograde,  Celestial Space Astrology Blog.  Here is what Dipali says about tomorrow:

Mercury goes Direct in the earth sign of Capricorn at 15 degrees on January 25th, 2016.

It helps to move with the astrological rhythm rather than create extra mental frustration. Mercury Retrograde in Capricorn suggests reviewing what needs to be restructured and reorganized. The other thing to take a closer look at is how
the concrete mind interferes with faith, trust and greater understanding when it comes to Spirituality or anything non-physical. When Mercury is in an earth sign the mind believes only what it sees in its physical form. Reflect on how this may create interference and separation in your perception and thinking in daily life.

STING

Well we just left Scorpio, but Scorpion’s haven’t left me. They’re everywhere. lol Starting with me, my sister (who I share a house with,) my boss, and my boyfriend. Yeah, that’s a lot of Scorpio….not to mention all of you whom are. So, I do not remember many dreams for awhile now, perhaps because I like to take something to sleep? I don’t know. At work we are talking about bugs and being scared by them, and a gal said I am terrified of scorpions, and I had a flash, a memory of a dream. In the dream I was under a tree, and like “Little Miss Muffet” who sat on her tuffet, a scorpion dropped down in front of me and I flicked it away. That’s it, so therefore the symbolic meaning of scorpions.

I love her website, so check it out for more symbols, totems. . .

~~~~~~~
Symbolic meaning of Scorpion
A potent message the Scorpion chooses to express is that of protection and/or isolation. In fact, they themselves are quite solitary – part of the reason why they symbolize In fact, many people with the Scorpion as their totem tend to have brief spells of passion with a partner only to end the relationship and spend long period’s content to be alone.
The Scorpion will mate in an exotic, dance of passion and control. The Scorpion sex dance is one of beauty, control, and calculation.
The female allows her new offspring to ride on her back until they shed their first exoskeleton – then her offspring leaves her – all of them going off to their lone, solitary lives – another example of intensity in relationship followed by isolation.
Defensiveness/control/protection is evident in the Scorpion’s appearance – which seems to say “Do not trifle with me.” One look at this magnificent creature says “back off!” does it not?
As another symbol of protection – we can consider the venomous tip of the scorpion which numbs its prey as well as makes its prey chemically digestible for the Scorpion. Whether the Scorpion intends to eat the victim of its sting is irrelevant because its sting will most certainly protect the Scorpion in order for it to live another day.
In Samaria, the Scorpion is associated with the Sun, and ancient writings depict Scorpion-men guarding (protecting) sacred gateways leading to ascension, pleasure and enlightenment.
Death symbolism comes into play in Greco-Roman mythology where Artemis (Diana) used the Scorpion to sting Orion’s foot, which caused his death. Afterwards, Zeus (Jupiter) made the Scorpion a zodiac sign among the stars.
There are some species where the venom is actually the antidote for its sting (like cobras). In Egypt and Tibet this is seen as an omen, and the Scorpion is made into an amulet – signifying protection and warding off evil. In Africa, the Scorpion is also seen as a healing sign – its venomous oil used for medicinal purposes.
When we consider the message this incredible creature has for us, we must first consider its outstanding features, which are the Scorpion’s natural protective/defensive mechanisms. For example, consider the Scorpion’s hard exoskeleton as a line of defense. Also consider its sharp potentially damaging pinchers – not to mention its venomous stinger.
The symbol meaning of Scorpion, much like its appearance, can be little foreboding. That is, if we do not have the inner eyes to see the beauty and complexity of its symbolism.
Although the symbol meaning for Scorpion can appear a little harsh at first glance, when we really contemplate the Scorpion in all its wonder – then compare these meanings against the events in our own lives, we will inevitably find a common ground and learn some timely lessons from the Scorpion too.
Below are a few facts on the symbol meaning for Scorpion along with some cultural history and background.
Therefore, as a symbol meaning, the Scorpion represents protection. When the Scorpion makes an appearance in our lives, it is beckoning us to consider the following:
Symbolic Messages from the Scorpion
What needs protecting in my life?
Am I being overprotective?
Am I being defensive? Why?
Am I afraid of being vulnerable?
How do I feel about control in my life? (too much, too little)
. . . and Windy has wings to fly, above the clouds, above the clouds.
Who’s reaching out to capture a moment?
✿ƸӜƷ ✿
It is once again that time of year….”What time is that?” you say? $19.98 wind chimes on sale for $1.98!!! I have been patiently waiting for the wind chimes to go on sale, I had my eye on one with a deep beautiful tone. I went into Walgreen’s everyday, “They on sale yet?” “No.” “On sale yet?” “NO.” So I let a week go by, they went on sale, and somebody else got the wind chime. lol Still I got several new ones…. I love my wind chimes. Ding, dong, dingle dingle, dingle, clankity, dingle, dong, dong…….
Wind Chimes in a Gentle Breeze
The change of summer to fall is in the air. Fall here is as awesome as Spring, and Winter here, in Arizona is beautiful. Yea, I survived summer, when I tell you HOT, you have no idea, but I am blessed and my house was cool all summer. As Fall and my birthday next month approaches I feel so excited, and enthused.
Spiritually, socially, culturally, and cosmically things feel good. There appears world unrest (Sorry but I do not watch news), I know it can look bad, but I believe sometimes old paradigms have to go so new ones can begin. I have posted a lot on Quantum thinking, as my fellow Scorpio sister, Ms. Linda does as well. Speaking of which Linda is hosting an apropos  blogging challenge, Time Machine Blogging Challenge, come and join us, it will be great fun. I will add a synchronous story that just happened last night. I ran across a Bruce Lipton video, Biology of Belief, that I had stashed it in my Watch Later playlist, so I mosey over last night before bed to watch a bit of it. Firstly he starts talking about the same material we are covering in my Physical Anthropology class on DNA, cells . . . but from a current scientific view, fascinating. Then I see 111/111, this was the 111th video. I was just very amused by that. Oh I added a video so now there are 112, but Bruce is still the 111th.
All is well with school, and my life in general.
Blue Moon
“Yes please, with an orange slice.” Okay just couldn’t resist, for those that are not familiar, “Blue Moon” is a beer. I just love all things blue. What can I say? I just do.
From all I have read this is an opportune event to bring forth our divine desires into manifestation. In addition to our personal desires, let us also include our universal desires.
  Gong Hey Fat Choy
 Happy Chinese New Year Everyone. I miss the great parades of China Town in Los Angeles.
It is the year of the Ram/Goat/Sheep and from the forecast, looks pretty good. My red envelope blessings go out to you all.
~~~

Based on the forecast astrological events of the period, the 2015 horoscope and the Year of the Wood Goat promises much more favorable times as compared to the previous year. Many astrologists conclude from the conditions of 2015 that the processes that have been unfolding and spreading chaos for the past few years are finally wrapping up; both political and economic situations in the world are starting to stabilize. Many people’s quality of life is getting higher and the crisis that has been tormenting many counties for the past several years is finally promising to be over. In other words, the year of 2015 is a crucial one! In 2015, which is according to the Oriental calendar is a year of the Ram (also year of the Sheep or Goat), one epoch is coming to replace another and the whole mankind have once again high hopes for the future. Even though we have always been hopeful and will continue to be such, this time the whole humanity do have a feasible chance to change the world for the better! It goes without saying, one would hope we would truly be deserving of the positive changes and we would be allowed to create the small paradise on earth that we dream of. It must be said once again that there has never been this many signs and favorable planetary aspects confirming the positive nature of the upcoming changes – we simply can’t ignore these signs!

The Chinese horoscope for the year of the Ram can also provide confirmation of the favorable changes in the upcoming year. 2015 will start on February 19 and end on February 7, 2016. The first thing that stands out in many oriental horoscopes for 2015 is the newly gained faith in a stable economic growth. In the Chinese traditional astrology 2015 as the year of Yui Wei or the 32nd year of the Green Wooden Ram (also Sheep or Goat) is allegorically represented as the period of a passing summer – the period of prosperity and wellbeing. Quite often one can come across the following wording: “The creative side of the Wooden Ram; its diligence applied to hard work ensures prosperity”… Let’s agree words like these don’t leave any room for doubt when it comes to the future wellbeing.

Western astrologists in their turn confirm the positive nature of 2015 by tracking positive signs of the planets’ changing aspects and their position relative to each other. Various zodiac horoscopes for 2015 highlight the overall tendency toward stabilization and general improvement; this will be aided by several astrological factors at the same time.

First, Saturn’s transition into the Zodiac sign of Sagittarius at the very end of 2014 will come into play. As early as January of 2015 all people on the planet will be able to tell the difference. Many political problems and economic issues will be viewed differently. Educational matters will move to the front seat and the main focus will be set on post-graduate education. All year long we may expect new legislative regulations which will allow for structural innovations in educational establishments as well as “order” in this branch of educational affairs. Apart from education, changes will also be introduced to the relations between countries; some of them will reach an agreement on visa-free entry and others, on the contrary, will close their borders. It should be noted, though, that this change will only be vocalized in 2015, and the main events will unfold in the following years.

Second, the tension between Pluto and Uranus that has been there since June of 2012 will finally ease up. This will bring many conflicts that have been persisting from 2012 to 2014 to an end. Surely, we can’t expect to know the winners and losers in this “war” since the underlying reason of all the outrages in the world has been of political nature. However, we can safely say that many processes that affected Europe, Ukraine, Egypt, Syria and a number of African countries will make it impossible for them to go back to their old system and maintain their political course. Let’s hope the changes in the above-mentioned countries will be more of a positive nature. The end of tension between the planets will mark the end of the whole epoch. Starting with 2015 most of the countries will be living in the post-industrial society. It should be noted that the innovations presented to us in 2015 can transform our life similar to the invention of the Internet or cell phones. The progress in the field of high technologies will make it possible to influence politics and this must be one of the crucial factors in the future formation of our society.

Third, in the first half of 2015 there will be a harmonious aspect between Jupiter and Uranus. This can have an unexpected effect on the development of the Internet technologies and wireless connections as well as those innovations that will only be presented to the key players of the high tech market. Jupiter is the planet of expansion and due to its influence many will notice that technologies have become accessible and available to practically everybody. Also, in 2015 the mankind may make some significant progress in space industry; for example, in the first half of 2015 there may be some “news” from the spacecraft sent to outer space for exploration and research. Received data can fundamentally change our interpretation of how the universe works, how life on earth came to be and whether there’s life on other planets.

Fourthly, in August of 2015 we will witness Jupiter’s transition into the Zodiac sign of Virgo. This will first and foremost positively affect the economic growth; the economics will rapidly stabilize and the markets will be quickly recovering from the losses suffered in the previous years. Another good promise of 2015 is the overall heightened attention to ecological issues, environmental protection, healthy eating habits and healthy life style. People’s health will become the focus. We can expect large-scale measures taken to improve health of entire nations. Unconventional medicine and the spheres associated with it will be of special importance.

Overall, it can be said that in the first half of 2015 the processes that have been in place for the past years will be over and in the second half of 2015 both political and economic situation in the world will be void of turmoil and conflicts. Closer to the summer months, when positive events will start overshadowing negatives ones, people of many countries will finally be able to sigh with relief and restore their faith in the future.

It is hard to report on 2015 in detail, but one thing is for sure: the events that 2015 has in store will prove unforgettable! Unbelievable striking events are ahead – we just need to be patient enough to wait for them to happen…
