Blog Birthday Bash

Blue Butterflies & Me is 7 years old today. Being as blogging started as a fluke, it has remained a consistent part of my life. it is also my first blog buddy’s birthday, Ody Mama, sadly she is too busy to blog, but I have her on the phone. Happy Birthday girl!

First year of teaching done, time for some cake.

Love you all! Thank you for being in my life.

Golden Key & Me

Recently I recalled a dream. I was well rested, otherwise my dream recall has not been great the last 5 or 6 years. I fell asleep listening to talks about Edgar Casey and the Akashic Records, which is I believe where the dream sprang from, obviously. In the dream I was in a modern building and someone was giving me this large, heavy, and ornate gold key. I mean the key was six inches long and about 3/4 inch thick. However, it had a couple small embedded lights in the top part. They then took me to a building across the street, entering it was empty in the foyer and the guy took the key an opened the door, but I did not see how he did it. When we entered it was a golden vault, all you could see were walls in an octagonal shape with locked boxes (like at a post office) but golden. I felt like each wall was a front and would open to another place. Anyways we glanced around the room, the person was like “Well here it is and here is the key” I am not sure if that is what they said, but we then left and he gave me the key. In the dream I thought, I do not know how to use the key? What is that place? Why did they give me this key? lol Interesting dream but understandable considering what I was feeding my unconscious mind.

I still love this woman’s work. Happy almost Spring. Spring break from school anyways. I have just about finished my first year teaching and lived to tell the tale. I survived a state audit but will I survive this influenza that I caught? My god! If you have had it, you have my deepest sympathy.

Ashputtle is part of Ace’s fairy tale series, and has always been a favorite, “Cinderella”, of the ashes. Like the phoenix she will rise, she soars to the pinnacle, the top of the heap. In the spirit of the painting I published my retelling of the Grimm classic “Ashputtle”, and it is called, “Bad Cindy“. I am sure it is full of typos and grammar errors but it was now or never.

Happy Almost Spring everyone. I went wind chime shopping yesterday, and I bought an adorable lizard sculpture I named Lenny the Lizardy.

Global Meditation Lunar Eclipse

Happy 2019 friends~ There is going to be a Full Lunar Eclipse Blood Wolf Moon Mocha Frappuccino, tomorrow night into the 21rst, so I hear. An important astral event for those of us who follow. I’m excited.

Also to make the most of this power event, there is going to be a coordinated Global Meditation. I think we owe it to ourselves and the world to participate if we possibly can, and wish to do so.

I will be meditating and I hope to see you all in the stream of consciousness. I will place the links below. We Got this! Let’s do it!

Twas the Night Before Yuletide

Happy Holidays friends: Winter Solstice, Yule, Christmas, and New Years. I taught my students about Yule and we learned all about Krampus, (I had no idea) the demon who takes naughty children to the underworld. My dear friend, and amazing photographer, Dagmar shared the Yule poem below. I had never heard this, I only know the American one. This is so much better. Peace & Love to you all.

TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE YULETIDE

Twas the night before Yuletide and all through the glen

Not a creature was stirring, not a fox, not a hen.

A mantle of snow shone brightly that night

As it lay on the ground, reflecting moonlight.

The faeries were nestled all snug in their trees,

Unmindful of flurries and a chilly north breeze.

The elves and the gnomes were down in their burrows,

Sleeping like babes in their soft earthen furrows.

When low! The earth moved with a thunderous quake,

Causing chairs to fall over and dishes to break.

The Little Folk scrambled to get on their feet

Then raced to the river where they usually meet.

“What happened?” they wondered, they questioned, they probed,

As they shivered in night clothes, some bare-armed, some robed.

“What caused the earth’s shudder? What caused her to shiver?”

They all spoke at once as they stood by the river.

Then what to their wondering eyes should appear

But a shining gold light in the shape of a sphere.

It blinked and it twinkled, it winked like an eye,

Then it flew straight up and was lost in the sky.

Before they could murmur, before they could bustle,

There emerged from the crowd, with a swish and a rustle,

A stately old crone with her hand on a cane,

Resplendent in green with a flowing white mane.

As she passed by them the old crone’s perfume,

Smelling of meadows and flowers abloom,

Made each of the fey folk think of the spring

When the earth wakes from slumber and the birds start to sing.

“My name is Gaia,” the old crone proclaimed

in a voice that at once was both wild and tamed,

“I’ve come to remind you, for you seem to forget,

that Yule is the time of re-birth, and yet…”

“I see no hearth fires, hear no music, no bells,

The air isn’t filled with rich fragrant smells

Of baking and roasting, and simmering stews,

Of cider that’s mulled or other hot brews.”

“There aren’t any children at play in the snow,

Or houses lit up by candles’ glow.

Have you forgotten, my children, the fun

Of celebrating the rebirth of the sun?”

She looked at the fey folk, her eyes going round,

As they shuffled their feet and stared at the ground.

Then she smiled the smile that brings light to the day,

“Come, my children,” she said, “Let’s play.”

They gathered the mistletoe, gathered the holly,

Threw off the drab and drew on the jolly.

They lit a big bonfire, and they danced and they sang.

They brought out the bells and clapped when they rang.

They strung lights on the trees, and bows, oh so merry,

In colors of cranberry, bayberry, cherry.

They built giant snowmen and adorned them with hats,

Then surrounded them with snow birds, and snow cats and bats.

Then just before dawn, at the end of their fest,

Before they went homeward to seek out their rest,

The fey folk they gathered ‘round their favorite oak tree

And welcomed the sun ‘neath the tree’s finery.

They were just reaching home when it suddenly came,

The gold light returned like an arrow-shot flame.

It lit on the tree top where they could see from afar

The golden-like sphere turned into a star.

The old crone just smiled at the beautiful sight,

“Happy Yuletide, my children,” she whispered. “Good night.”

Cha Cha Changes?

The full moon in Aries has been brutal but beneficial. My life appears to be on track but boy has it been difficult, for like five months now. Is it ever going to let up in intensity? Lol. One thing I have learned about myself through all of this is that I am stronger and more resilient than I believed I was.

So at school today my framed diploma that is (not yet hung), fell over and broke my green, good luck, Chinese cat statue. Seriously! One of my favorite, adorable, students shouts “Karma” from across the room, which clearly it is. It is as symbolically interesting as the time I saw my first scorpion and killed it with the heavy volume of Grimm’s Fairy Tales. Except, this time does not really feel like a positive. I went to what I considered the best source to help me explain this symbolic occurrence, the iChing. The readings are usually spot on, cutting to the core of the matter, this readying is no exception. I digress below is the reading, It was very deep and a bit intimidating.

Pisces Full Moon

This seems to be a very interesting full moon. I am not an astrologer but all my friends are. The cosmos and timelines seem to be converging. Ancient ancestral connections and karma clearing. Wildest dreams coming true. . . I suppose because I am a water sign, Scorpio, I am always comfortable in watery aspects, diving deep beneath the surface to visit the depths of our emotions. Literally discovering our ancient anti-antediluvian past as humans. Truly remembering who we are and knowing our full potential. Reading this first article from a fellow Word Press blogger, Sheena McGrath, and her blog, We Are Star Stuff, really brought on an inner mind-map of connections between timelines and dimensions. Thank to my friend Queen Suzi for sharing.

My horoscope today is interesting.

There’s no limit to the amount of change that can occur in just one day. We might be lulled into complacency when the Moon enters idyllic Pisces at 1:32 am EDT, but the gentle vibes won’t last. The Pisces Full Moon at 7:56 am marks a dynamic turn of events as our fantasies flow into the real world. A tumultuous Venus-Pluto square pits individual rights against the needs of the community. Solutions are elusive while trickster Mercury is in the mix.
